Horton Plains

The national park is situated in the Central province and it has the highest plateau in Sri Lanka. The 3160 hectares was declared as a National park in 1988. Mountains Kirigalpoththa and Thotupola are in the borders of this park. There are 57 species of Flora and out of the 29 are endemics.

Hakgala Botanical Garden

This botanical garden is situated along the Badulla road in the Nuwara Eliya district, has been established in 1861. As you enter the garden you can see a mixture of beautiful flower beds well maintained.

Ambewela Farm

Ambewela is a hill station, located in the Nuwara Eliya District. The area is also called "Little New Zealand" as it has the look of New Zealand with cows eating grass in the meadows. Due to the high altitude, the mean annual temperature in the area is below 17°C.
